Suite layout is nice. Wifi was down during one night stay. The gym was fine and helped me greatly. The breakfast is selected by person on a sheet the day before and comes bagged for you in the morning at the front desk. I got a surprise $25 charge after leaving. I need to find out why.
The hotel itself was satisfactory. Simon, who greeted us upon check-in, was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. He was the only staff we really had any contact with. We booked the room because it is closest to St. Julien Ball Park. The drive is excellent. However, we booked a room advertised as 2 queen beds. The beds were, in fact, double beds. This is a big difference when you are accommodating a cosleeping infant and a 6 foot tall man. Our shower curtain did not have a liner which led to a mess any time anyone showered. Overall, we would stay again, but only if there were not other options near by.
Excellent stay, had some toilet and technology and ac issues that maintenance had to help me with. I don’t remember his name but he’s so kind and was so diligent and helpful!! He really went out of his way to make everything perfect and did it the right way the first time. I can tell he’s the reason the building is standing in the first place!! The reasons I’m giving three stars is because there’s no breakfast due to covid and I couldn’t get my beloved hotel bacon that I love so much.
They do not accept cash, pool is closed. But the beds were comfy, staff was friendly. No continental breakfast either..muffin, juice and a protein bar. Pet friendly
I should have walked out when a fight broke out between two women in the lobby. The police came while as I got a room. I drove from Texas after having no power or water for the last week and was exhausted. I just wanted a hot shower and some sleep. The room was disgusting. A used drink cup, Reese's wrapper and some wadded up papers were in the floor on the side of the bed. One of the towels had some yellow stain. The carpet had burn marks in several places and the paint was peeling off the wall under the window. This is NOT the quality I've seen at La Quinta during previous stays. Until some major updates, I would recommend staying elsewhere. Oh and their pet fee is $25/night. Not worth it.
