Decent room, staff was helpful....The only reason I gave 4 stars is because website states they have a bar/lounge area that was available. When we got there we wanted a nice cocktail after a long drive only for them to tell us they couldn't sell us liquor because of them trying to acquire a liquor license...didn't quite understand that being that we knew the hotel wasn't new but we didn't force the issue just left and got a drink from a restaurant nearby....

I tried to check in the day after hurricane Zeta hit New Orleans. Arrived to a long line of people in front of me waiting to check in. Many had been there for over an hour with no one getting checked in. The excuse from the front desk was that they are cleaning the rooms first. It doesn't take an hour to clean a room. I can't go home, we have no electricity and it is too late to get a room elsewhere. I expected better from Hyatt.

I booked a month ahead of time. I booked a king room with a tub. Check in and go to our room, no tub. Go ask front desk and they have no king rooms with a tub available. So we switch to another king because ours smelt like a smoke shack. They lady was nice, but we payed ahead of time for a tub in a king room.

My family and I had reservations we’d previously made online. All of us traveling made 8, so we reserved 2 rooms with 2 queen beds in each. Upon our arrival and check in, we were told that the rooms we had reserved were not available to us and that no other rooms with 2 beds each were available in the whole hotel. We were then asked to wait in a cold banquet room for 40 minutes when there was plenty of space in the lobby. Hardly any attempt was made to accommodate us and no staff member was apologetic, when it was clearly a mistake on their end. After some time, my sister went back to the front desk to check the status of our rooms and was quite literally ignored for a good 5 minutes. We were finally taken up to our rooms that had one queen bed and a pullout couch in each because we were told that was the best they could do. There was no offer of discounts or refund, we were only offered one free nights stay (at a later date and for a party of 8) after my brother in law went to talk to the manger Orlandria. Who I suggest might want to revisit her managerial skills. The pullout couch's did not have proper linens to sleep on, so we went down to the lobby for a few extra pillows and blankets. What we were given was a joke. In place of a comforter my father was handed a ripped up mattress topper. As for the “pillows” one was a small square plastic pillow that didn’t even have a pillow case, and a visibly stained pillow, again with no case. So we called down yet again and asked to please have proper linens brought up. After about 20 minutes they managed to “find” some. I would assume at a hotel you would have extra linens readily available. The lady who brought it up to our room basically shoved them into my hands and didn’t even speak when I said thank you (and it wasn’t sarcastic) and I barely had hold of everything before she was walking away. Overall we were incredibly dissatisfied with the service.

I booked my wife and daughter here this past weekend and I was a little nervous given the situation with Covid in BR. Some of the hotels we have stayed in the past few months have been really lax on managing safety and really stripped down the services- Some of them were operating skeleton crews. That’s not the case here. My wife raved about the excellent service and cleanliness. This will be our go to hotel from here on out when we’re in the area
