Williamsburg Sampler B & B

Owner very pleasant and helpful. The only complaint I have is my husband in ask the granddaughter to put flower and happy anniversary ballin at table for breakfast, there 3 days and never got. Close to everything.

It was a great place to stay.The host was excellent and friendly. The room was nice and clean.Perfect and quiet for a nice relaxing getaway.The breakfast was also great.Will not hesitate to come back.

We visited for a family get away. We had all 4 rooms booked so it was just our family in the house. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. The king sized beds were charming with lots of antiques from all over the world. Very friendly.

Due to covid I cancelled a room reservation (2 months prior to stay, back in March). Laura informed me I could take a credit or wait for her to receive emergency funding. I felt bad small businesses were getting hit hard by the quarantine so I informed Laura I would take my deposit as a credit. I had to email her 4 more times before she confirmed my reservation was cancelled. I then emailed her 6x over 4 months to inquire about forwarding the deposit to a new reservation date - and have not heard back from her (she emailed one time to say reservations aren’t yet open). I have stayed here 3x in the past few 4 years- yet I feel like she’s treating me like I’m a loan shark trying to hunt her down. I don’t understand how hard it is- to respond to my inquiries. It’s extremely unprofessional and not the way to treat a repeat customer. Is a $200 some deposit credit (I’m guessing she doesn’t want to acknowledge my credit anymore as my deposit will break her bank?) worth losing business over the next several years (this is a yearly trip)- we loved Ike the innkeeper and loved visiting surrounding areas. I feel like in trying to be considerate to a their woes- Laura didn’t give a poo about mine. I just don’t see any excuse as to why she couldn’t respond to my inquiries.nAs she will not respond to my emails... don’t know if I’ll ever get my deposit back now. Covid messed things up for a lot of people- but Laura has no excuse for messing this up for me.nUnless you’re 100% sure you’re going to make the trip (and yes I was within the cancellation window when I cancelled)- try another B&B.. maybe one that stands by their cancellation policies.

Amazing experience at Sampler BnB. The hosts were very accommodating, room was great, and breakfast exceeded my expectations, as this was my first time at a BnB. I had the pleasure of engaging with the hosts and learning from them. Looking forward to returning.
