This hotel is one of a kind. First of all, the staff is top notch. I have not one complaint. The history and ambiance is perfect. The location and amenities is everything that you can need. From walking around town to renting a quad side by side right from the front desk and exploring the many miles of trails through the Appalachian mountains. Many nearby towns are atv friendly. Time it right and you may catch one of the many town festivals.

This place is a real gem! Staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms are well-appointed, and modern. They were accommodating of my dog -- who enjoyed her stay. This place is truly pet-friendly.nnCute little town with lots of hiking nearby!

The Western Front is a perfect example of old town revitalization done right. It is a well-put-together boutique hotel nestled in downtown St Paul, VA. The rooms are very comfortable and charmingly appointed as an homage to the history of the building itself, the staff is replete with Appalachian hospitality and charm, and the town itself is a great place to be whether you're looking for an adventure getaway with hiking, biking, riding ATV trails, and kayaking the scenic Clinch River or an opportunity to relax in a beautiful setting with a good book and allow the stress of today's world to melt away. You won't find a better place to say within an hour's drive at any price. If you're planning a visit to the area, you really should put staying at the Western Front on your to-do list. If you're not planning a visit to the area, you should reconsider that.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating mostly for our situation with having to add nights because the delay of bristol dirt race. I highly recommend staying here. I just want to say thank you to the staff you were the best!!!!

This is a gem of a hotel, off the beaten track, and well worth the trek off of the freeway. We were just passing through on a road trip with the kids and the dog but would consider an extended stay to enjoy the recreational activities around the SWVA region. Whether for a night or for a longer stay, I would definitely recommend staying at the Western Front Hotel!
