What a wonderful place to stay. The staff made me feel right at home. I traveled to the Big Stone Gap area (4609 Aerial Way) for business for a week. I have been very impressed with the lovely decorations, friendly and helpful staff, and cleanliness of the hotel! This has been a home away from home. The beautiful staircase and special touches like the Christmas decorations by the third floor elevator have really put me in the holiday spirit. Loved the hot apple cider. I appreciated the hot breakfast...done safely of course (gloves, masks, take back to the room) EVERYONE at the hotel has been so friendly and helpful--breakfast attendants, front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.nnThank you for a lovely stay in Big Stone Gap!

This hotel was so nice! It's decorated beautifully, the breakfast was great, and the employees were friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful view! The room was very clean. The breakfast was hot and the cook was the sweetest woman in the world! Front desk was so helpful. We will definitely stop here again!

+ Friendly, accommodating staffnn- Had a jacuzzi room but not enough hot water to actually use itn- Most uncomfortable beds in the week of hotels we stayed atn- Pillows were mush, disappeared under weightn- TV had horrible flashing light under even when unit turned offn- Blankets thin, never got warm or comfortablennWe picked this room specifically because it was my birthday while we were on a house-hunting road trip to VA and they had some suites at an affordable price. Unfortunately, it was probably the worst place we stayed at...but we made it work and made it positive!nnThe entry way was gorgeous, all dressed up for Xmas, very nice looking. The view during the day is amazing.nnWe booked a 'hot tub jacuzzi king suite' which I can not find mention of anywhere online. We called to book. So I can't tell how they actually word it online but that's how it was worded to me. One assumes, at that point, that at the very least enough water would be allocated to the room to fill the tub. At best, it would have a unit to keep the water hot.nnIt had neither.nnI got about 4 inches of hot water before it cut off the first time. Instead of laying back and relaxing in the tub, I was crowded up at the faucet trying to keep warm. Every ten minutes or so we could add some more hot water.nnThe tub itself was very poor quality. Like four jets about an inch from the bottom. Not shaped or anything in a comfortable, relaxing way and no good position to enjoy the jets.nnAfter the bath was bedtime. There were plenty of pillows but even looking at them made them go flat. The bed itself was the hardest and least comfortable of any of the 6 hotels we stayed out in our week around VA. The blankets were thin and light. They did not keep me warm.nnIt was nice that they give a coupon for an early bird special at the Huddle House in the same parking lot.nnMaybe some of the other rooms/beds were nicer but what we stayed in doesn't make us want to stay there again or recommend it.
