avid Hotel Richmond North - Ashland

I love love love our stay at this hotel! Not only was it extremely comfortable and nice design of the room, but the bed was so comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for still having breakfast as a grab and go option and the convenience of an open parking lot.

The hotel is great! My stay was peaceful and quiet and the room was clean. Above all they have a wonderful staff. Alycia is superb! I will definitely be back!

Fairly new hotel, clean and modern, nice atmosphere. Quick check in and check out. Our bathroom door would not latch, which was okay but could be a problem for some people.

Waited around for an hour because their card machine isn't working correctly. They offered no solutions to fix the problem, even acted like it was my fault. I had enough money to cover the room and the deposit in cash that they're asking for on card, but insisted on not trying to help me in any way.

I came to check in to the Avid alone for a business trip, and had only put one person on the room(myself). Later that evening one of my girl friends came to stay and upon her arrival we were both approached by the manager who was extremely argumentative and insistent that I had no guests in my room since there was only one on the reservation. I offered to update the reservation and Hiren Patel did not want to add anyone to the room or accept a form of identification to clear up the issue. He held me and my guest in the front lobby for several minutes asking the same questions over and over, as I responded that no other guests would be in my room. I am an adult female that travels often and have never been this creeped out nor have I ever been interrogated by a hotel manager. It almost seemed like he wanted me to be alone in my room and no matter what answer I gave him he didn’t want to let us go back to my room. I ended up checking out at around 10pm because the experience was so bad and I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping at the hotel.nI must say that Tameka who was working the desk when I initially checked in, and looked extremely uncomfortable while her boss questioned me, was very sweet and did her job well. She called the room after the incident with her manager in the lobby to apologize. Will not be staying at any hotels owned or managed by the Patels again.
