Westbury Apothecary

Today...went in to pick up a refill...and noticed one pharmacist without any mask at all, and all three retail/pickup workers behind the floor level counter had their masks fully down as I approached the counter. The one wearing the sparkly mask pulled it up to wait on me, but the other two remained right there, in conversation, just across the counter from me without making any effort at all to properly position their masks. They should be on at all times in the open area of the pharmacy...not just when a customer approaches...but especially when customer facing. Very disappointed to see this, particularly at a pharmacy. Guess I can transfer my prescription...or, at least switch to delivery.

I started with Westbury when they had a branch at Parham Doctors Hospital. They closed that one and moved everything to the main store. Service was still good for a couple of years. Lately, however, they mess everything up. Most recently I called a refill in on Monday and had not received it by Tuesday afternoon. So I called back and they said they were waiting on the Doctor. This seems to be a pat answer because I contacted my Doctor and the nurse told me they had sent the refill order on Monday. Then Westbury told me the refill was only good until Feb. 2020. The original prescription is dated October 2020, so how can that be? So I will be changing pharmacies. I don't go to a pharmacy for food or gifts. I go for medicine.nI finally spoke with a pharmacist and got this straight. When I called this morning,, Wed., I was again told that they were waiting for a reply from the doctor's office. That was incorrect. The doctor's office told me they sent that out Monday. So the person said I should speak to the pharmacist. I did, and they had filled the prescription on Jan. 18 and could not fill it again. The medicine had been put in a different drawer than I normally keep my medicine in. I apologized for my part in the problem but told him if I had been told that when I called before the problem would have been resolved. I also told him in previous years the pharmacy had called me when they had a problem and we resolved it. Now they just don't send the medication and leave me wondering what is going on.

They have the best soft crabs of anywhere! Their menu has a soft crab platter and soft crab sandwich. Their french fries and slaw were excellent also. I found the staff to be very friendly and pleasant!

terrible employees, terrible service. it's disorganized, the people are unprofessional, the head pharmacist was fired because he was caught embezzling money from the owners for years. i worked here way too long and saw coworkers break down in the back because of mental abuse and the horrifically toxic work environment. the owners don't care about anything but money and will sacrifice whatever it takes to make it.

Nice little drug store with a small diner. Food is so so.
