Hyatt Place Chantilly/Dulles Airport-South

Bed and hallways as to be expected. Elevator was in working order. But my left over Chinese food... man, I'm weeping ever so slightly as I extend these next few words go you all.nnMy left over Chinese food had to be thrown away. For some reason.. and I assure you that you won't know why. But they do not have microwaves. ID RATHER HAVE A MICROWAVE THAN HAVE TOILET PAPER!nnTo whomever decided to cut that corner. A shame, no. A BLASPHEMY OF MAGNIFICENT PROPORTIONS...nnDon't bring left overs with you. And I feel like you'll have a good stay.

Rooms were very clean and nice. Only downside is the breakfast that was offered. Not very much to choose from. Very good COVID-19 practices

My wife and I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago while visiting with friends in the area. I have stayed at several Hyatt hotels and they are typically relatively nice.nnThe room itself was very spacious. It had a seating area with a wet bar, fridge and desk right when you walk in. Further in, was a wall which separated the bed and sleeping area from the other seating area.nnDirectly beside the sink, there was a closet; which was nearly useless because of its extremely close proximity to the sink. There were also several stains in the carpet in front of the sink which was off-putting.nnThe bathroom was very small; there was barely enough room to fully swing the door open. It would be impossible to have the door half open and enter the shower. The only way to enter the shower is to awkwardly stand over the toilet and close the door. Then you had enough room to access the sliding shower door, which wouldn’t stay closed...nnI really expected the hotel and the room to be spotless because of the “extra” cleaning measures due to COVID but that clearly wasn’t the case. Nonetheless, I have definitely stayed at worst places. So we settled in.nnOur stay was largely uneventful. We saw few other guests and didn’t interact with any other staff, as we used the back entrance due to our car being parked in the rear of the building.nnThe morning of our departure, as we were packing up the last of our things, we noticed a large cockroach on the couch (picture attached). It was very much alive. My wife and I quickly grabbed our things and exited the room. Eh wife checked us out and the staff at the desk did not seem very sympathetic to our plight, as the compensation was very much lacking, in my opinion.nnAll in all, I would not recommend this hotel. The cleanliness was simply not up to par.

Very competent and efficient staff, I was welcomed as an Explorist and given my 2 bottles of water. Staff member on check out was also notably friendly.nnRoom's are big, hotel is also very COVID conscious with multiple sanitizing options and COVID related information.nnBig bonus is that its also within walking distance of the awesome Texas Roadhouse!nnDo not hesitate to stay here if you need an airport hotel, are passing by or have business in the Dulles area - this Hyatt is fantastic value.

The rooms (at least ours) are overdue for updates. Bed was very comfortable, but carpet musty and AC not great. Even though designated smoking areas outside, smokers congregated outside main entrances - both front and back. Staff very friendly. Don't know if we would stay again even though convenient to everything.
