Courtyard by Marriott Lynchburg

Very classy and very clean hotel. I was impressed how clean our room felt and especially the bathroom. Staff was friendly even though I had to wait on someone to take my order at the bistro both times and same at the front desk. Cleaning ladies were very pleasant, even after cleaning up after several college teams competing at a nearby college. We will definitely choose this hotel again when we come visit our daughter at college.

We stayed at the Courtyard on January 23 for a one night trip to Lynchburg. The front desk service was excellent and friendly, but the rooms were not up to my standards. We stayed in a king bed room.nnFirst, the cleanliness. There was hair in my bed and in the shower. Even with all the signs up about enhanced COVID cleaning, it looks like my room was missed. I hope my sheets were cleaned after the last guest. Also, the heater was loud. On a cold January night, we needed the heater to keep our room warm, but it kept us up at night. I could also hear all the activity in my neighbors rooms, the corridor, and outside the building as well. The room layout was a little strange as well, with the TV not facing the bed, and having a mirror facing me on the night stand as I laid in bed.nnWe were looking forward to a good night's sleep after our busy day, but with the noise and cleanliness issues, I think I will be staying somewhere else next time I am in town.

Do not let the outside deter you. This is a fantastic Marriott. Completely redone inside. You will enjoy your stay.

The room was not cleaned. I rented the room for 2 nights. After the first night I left for the day. Came back to a dirty room. They told me they would not clean my room. If. I want it clean to clean it myself. Very rude behavior and treatment. I've been using Marriott for decades. After this most horrific experience. Never will set foot on a Marriott program again.

Nice updated Courtyard. Rooms were clean. Online check in with key on my phone so no contact with front desk. Rooms were more updated than most courtyards that I've been at in a while. Flat screen TV mounted on the wall that pulls out to whatever angle you like and has smart TV functionality. Nice new shower instead of the old tubs with tile that were always cracking and moldy at most hotels. Hotel is a bit set back off the road so it was nice and quiet.
