Hampton Inn Waynesboro/Stuarts Draft

Older property, but seems to be very clean and well maintained. The rooms were nicely laid out and comfortable, however some of the furniture is worn. They lose a star because the customer service is truly lacking. What hotel manager thinks it's okay to put a phone on the front desk that says dial 0 to let us know you're here...

Whitney, the manager of this Hampton Inn, went above & beyond yesterday in extendingncourtesy to this traveler in need. I had an alarming, and potentially hazardous, encounter arise during our travels through the area. It required immediate attention and, being a Hilton Gold member I immediately searched for the nearest Hilton property. Without hesitation she offered an immediate remedy which allowed me to eliminate the potential hazard, restored my peace of mind and continue with our travels.nI’m grateful for her exemplary service!

The hotel was very clean and tidy. We enjoyed our stay a lot. A couple of negatives the breakfast is subpar, not a huge fan of the grab and go. You should probably figure out something a little better but that's a small thing. Plenty of good options. Okay now to the large negative, the pool had so much chlorine in it. It was close to making us all sick, the levels had to be wrong and off. The pool room was so hot and sticky it was almost unbarable. Have the maintenance technician or a pool company come check the levels. Got home yesterday, my clothes have been washed and they still smell like chlorine. My bother mentioned it to the front desk, he said everything was fine.

Our first overnight stay since the pandemic began. Obviously some changes in how Hampton Inn is able to operate--box breakfast instead of the buffet, no fresh baked cookies on the counter, reduced pool hours, maid service by request only--but still great service and friendly staff make Hampton our first choice. This location is next to Waynesboro which hosts some interesting breweries as well as the west trailhead of the Blue Ridge Tunnel Trail, all highly recommended.

The Hampton Inn .Always great .Plus a pool .Covid has limited house keeping. I personally like my room cleaned everyday. Awesome staff.
