Great romantic retreat with quiet nights and starry skies. Owners are super friendly and had great recommendations for local food and attractions. Wood burning fireplace in the room, which made it very cozy, yummy breakfast, and less than a mile to Blue Ridge Parkway make this a new favorite spot in the mountains.

Russ and Kelly provided such an excellent experience for my wife and I! They provided a beautiful and authentic mountain experience, complete with great descriptions of the grounds and inn, a ton of firewood (which served us greatly when the winds knocked out the power! ud83dude06), and made us completely comfortable! Although late in the night, Kelly helped us keep warm with an abundance of blankets! A bountiful breakfast awaited us after a wonderfully peaceful night’s sleep. Although we were the only two guests, they made the experience such a memorable one that we are already planning our return!

This is a wonderful little place. The hosts are so nice and friendly. The decorations and overall vibe is perfect. It is very cozy. We stayed in the sugar tree room and it has a fire place, jacuzzi, and kind size bed. The area was very beautiful as well. I highly recommend this inn for anytime looking for a cute mountain get away.

This place is magical! Tucked in the woods up a winding road, the inn is beautifully appointed, with comfortable furniture, great beds and a gorgeous view out each window. We so enjoyed our stay in the Tye River room and wished we could have stayed longer. A real bonus was the wood fireplace, complete with lots of split wood, which we enjoyed on a chilly evening. We had a wonderful time at the Sugar Tree Inn. The Innkeepers are delightful. The rooms are quaint and comfortable without being too rustic. The bed was very comfy. Each room has a fireplace and the wood and starters made it so easy to light. The Inn is very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail. The meals were also very good.
