Clarion Hotel Lake Erie

Stayed here on short notice and was satisfied with our stay. The room was clean, a little out dated, but they are doing renovations. The front desk person was very welcoming and gave us a tip on where to eat dinner. Breakfast in the morning was very good. The kids loved the pool and I enjoyed sitting in the hot tub! Would stay here again!

Very good hotel for the price. It is a bit aged (reminds me of going back into the 70s/80s) but everything works and nothing was dirty. They do have renovations coming, so that should help. The hotel bar and pool area was pretty neat as well. Good for a night or two stop.

Under renovation but the section we stayed in was fine. The front desk and registration area is in bad need of an update. I would have started with that area as it is the first impression area. The breakfast is awesome! Very clean area and friendly staff. The pool is indoors and smells highly of bromine. Bout room was right by the pool and you could smell it all the time. There are doors that could be opened but are not. The room is spacious and clean. The beds are very comfortable. I would stay here again.

My door broke and I was locked out side of my room from midnight until 3 a.m. when the owner showed up. All of my belongings were in there including phones and car keys. The only reason it's getting a 3 star is because I was comped very well and they were very curtious about the situation.

Be careful! I booked a King suite based on the pictures on the website. I was given a standard king with pool access. When I asked to be given the suite I originally booked, I was told those rooms are not available.nnThe pool area is nice but internet was wickedly slow 4.72 meg down.nnThe property is not dirty or anything like that, but based upon my experience with the room I have to give it 2 stars.
