Old West RV Park

Nice small RV Park, well taken care of. We were greeted by Charlie & Elaine, the park hosts. They were really nice. Charlie was extra helpful giving us great tips on places to go. There are trains that come through town, but I love the sound of trains. Some highway noise too, but a very nice setting overall.

Clean and across the street from the post office and a store. Lovely little friendly park. Shout out to Charlie and Elaine as well as Steve and Kimberly. Friendly, helpful staff that made our stay extra special. Note: every Friday in the summer, two angels appear for the Reed Point Farmers Market. I will remember this pie crust for years to come. Insane. You’ve gotta get a take-n-bake pie and some fresh huckleberry syrup for cocktails. Oh this place!

Had much higher hopes with all the good reviews. Bathrooms and showers were closed when we arrived. They did not notify us of this when reserving a spot. Located smack dab between I90 and a set of well traveled railroad tracks. Small and close sites. For the $ they charge there are better places close by. The only saving grace was the on-site manager who helped straighten out the problem of someone being in our space and finally getting our electricity turned on.

Looking at Google Satellite view I had low expectations. But was pleasantly surprised. It’s a small but very neat camp, very pleasant hosts, nice grass and clean gravel (no dust or mud). We’d definitely stay here again. John & MIchael (& Séamus the wolfhound).
