This is a special motel in a special place. Recently stayed here as a base for a week of bicycle adventures and have also visited for several years prior.nnBalanced Rock offers amazing value for those on a budget with all of the key essentials (clean, comfy, fridge/micro, location) without unnecessary frills most folks don’t need. It’s an easy walk to downtown Fruita, and they are bicycle-friendly and just plain friendly!nnThis is a family-run hotel, and Helena and Joseph truly make you feel like a guest instead of a random customer or tourist. Each visit has left me feeling happy, relaxed and grateful for having such a great place to visit. I’ll definitely be back!
Stayed here 2 years in a row while driving through Colorado because of the wonderful management and customer service. The people at the front desk were very welcoming, made it seem cozy and inviting. Nice location near the highway, within walking distance of stores, and clean rooms for the price.
Very clean, comfortable and updated room. We booked this hotel after 12 hrs of driving not knowing what to expect. The price was right and the room was way better than a chain hotel. Pass up the big names and stop bore. You'll be glad you did.
Very clean, quaint, no frills hotel. Within walking distance to everything in town. There is a train nearby but using the room air conditioner blocked out any passing trains at night. I've stayed here a couple times and will stay again.
Very satisfied with my room -- was updated and clean, and happy with the value. Extremely close to Colorado National Monument. Would stay here again. The internet was fine, but not quite good enough for a zoom videoconference.
