Alexander Lake Lodge

Great place to go if you are looking for isolation, good accommodations, friendly staff and easy to get to. Pet friendly and a great representation of the Colorado High Country. No cell phone service, no internet, only a couple of channels on TV. It was a great step back in time stay that really gets you to go outside and experience what you have been missing. My wife and her girlfriend hope to re-visiting this place this summer to get away from things and relax.nnRecommendation would be to take your own pillows if you do not like super soft pillows. Hair dryer, towels, toiletries. Pretend you are going to Grandma's house. Great place, location, service but you want your own stuff.nnIf you have a dog that doesn't like hardwood floors remember to take a runner. Our Lab won't walk on hardwood floors so he stayed on one of our blankets by the front door the entire night. Those little things that one forgets when traveling. Great rooms, multiple beds, no carpeting in our cabin but that was fine.

We had an excellent stay at Alexander Lake Lodge. Since this was our first stay in the area, we were very fortunate to book our stay here. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Anna, Sylvester, Joe and the rest of the family went above and beyond to make our stay one of the best. Upon Sylvester’s recommendation, the polish sausage meal was terrific. Anna’s meals were well worth the wait and left you completely full. Unfortunately during our stay, some of our party had some difficulty while out snowmobiling. Everything turned out fine, but not without our new friends at Alexander Lake Lodge. Sylvester, thank you and your friends for hitting the trails after dark. Anna, thank you for opening the Lodge for us and staying up with us while we tried to figure out what the next plan of action would be. Even though it was your family’s night off. Your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten. And Joe, thank you for the fishing tips on the Dynamic Lures and the book, “Murder and Mystety on Grand Mesa.” I have the book ordered. I hope to see you again soon, but for myself I am really hoping next trip will bring me to see the beauty of the lakes from one of your wonderful cabins and maybe catching one of those rainbows or cutthroats Joe was talking about. Great place with some of the best people you will ever find who own it. Awesome home cooked foods well. Definitely recommend visiting.

We lodged with a close property but went to Alexander Lake Lodge for dinner. We sat at the bar and had a very enjoyable conversation and dinner/drinks. We received a recommendation for dinner of the Polish plater (which is their specialty) This meal will not disappoint. It was amazing! Awesome atmosphere and very friendly staff. Next time we will be lodging and dining with Alexander Lake Lodge.

This place is so cute and quaint, the people are very friendly and accommodating. I look forward to making this my family's vacation go to when we come to Colorado. The Hunter stew was so good I could not get enough. This place is a must see
