Residence Inn by Marriott Grand Junction

This is a neat place with many amenities like fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, stainless steel appliances etc but the way that it's decorated is a bit outdated now. The key cards have to be swiped more than once for them to open the doors. Most of the Residence Inn Hotels that I've stayed in are almost always modern, so this was a bit unexpected landing. Hope they'll soon update it to modern-day style which is known Marriott standard.

Stayed here a month ago, and their hot tub had just broken. I called them and they said it would likely be fixed within a few days. Came back again now, a month later, and come to find out that the hot tub, and now the pool too, were both broken, and am still told it will be fixed within a day. They told me to go across the street to another Marriott hotel that has a pool, but is a reservation only, and is booked until the next day. Would not reccomend any Marriott hotel, NOT FRIENDLY to hard working health care workers who need some time to relax. 1 STAR!

These people have no clue what customer service MEANS. Had a reservation two days prior and the room was given to another family who was from out of state who had PERSONAL issues, then tried to give us the garage rooms that didn't fit our family and we couldn't use. NEVER AGAIN will these jokesters touch another dollar from ANY OF US. Best bet if you want the room you actually RESERVED, going ANYWHERE elsewhere is in everyone's best interest.

Keys rarely work to get into the room even after new ones are made MULTIPLE times. Nit good when you get off of work at 2am and have to go back to the desk to get a new one made to then find out that one does not work either. Was told multiple times that it could be tge door battery but yet hasn't gotten fixed.

Buyers beware. I made a reservation here by mistake and was told if it would let me cancel it from my app then I wouldn’t be charged for the reservation. Wrong. I cancelled my reservation 4 minutes after I made it when I realized by the map they provided me that it was in the completely wrong area and wouldn’t work for me. I’ve tried working with the property directly to resolve the issue and they believe their policy overrides the 72 hour law that I have to cancel my reservation. So I was charged to stay at two different hotels both Marriott properties on the same night. These people are so dishonest and greedy and unreal I don’t recommend doing business with them. And the Fairfield in wasn’t any better either. Such disappointments for what Marriott generally offers my family.
