BEST WESTERN Sonoma Valley Inn & Krug Event Center

I love this place. My favorite part is the breakfast. They have fresh juice when I visited and waffles.. I am not a fan of sausage and egg but having free breakfast is convenient. Jacuzzi is a plus for a tired leg. I had an event in the plaza and and I love that it is just walking distance. Plenty of parking and I love my room which is 1st floor and of course facing the pool.. my door is literally in front of the pool. I was sponsored in this hotel during an event and I found it expensive if I will pay for myself

When we received a phone call the first morning of our stay stating that my mother had just died back east, the wine tour operator that was due to pick us up in 30 minutes graciously refunded our trip. The airline made changes to our itinerary on a moment's notice at no charge, so we could leave within an hour. But would the management of this hotel grant us leave without paying for the second night? Even though they very likely rented out the now-empty room and doubled their profit? NO. For this reason, we will never return. $$ over basic humanity.nnRESPONSE TO BEST WESTERN: You are apparently confusing me with another party, as we had no consideration of staying and airline changes were made before even contacting the front desk. We made it clear to both the front desk attendant and the manager that I spoke with on the phone that we needed to leave due to mother's death. It was made clear to the attendant and the manager that the other businesses (wine tour and airline) had made concessions due to the circumstances, yet management held firm that we must pay for the night we would not be spending in the hotel. So yes, share this with your team for reconsideration but DON'T rewrite history.

During the COVID-19 crises. Had hot tub but it wasn’t available. No hot breakfast. Bagged breakfast of oatmeal, tangerine, and blueberry muffin.nnGood location! Friendly staff who did their best to help.nnBeds are so hard it’s like they don’t want stay long. This is my chief complaint.

They did shut down breakfast service, which was a little upsetting but the pool was very nice on these hot days.

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. It is walking distance to all the tasting rooms. We parked when we checked in and didn't touch the car until we were heading home. The hotel is a bit dated and that really isn't an issue but the rooms do need some updating. There was a smashed bug on the wall and it had that tinge of that old hotel smell (not terrible but noticeable). They are pet friendly so that's a plus.
