Parkside Residential Boarding House

I was there when Joel Brown was the owner and we bonded as friends. I even went to his church. It was a good temporary housing for me and my room was very nice. I'd like to see what it's like now under new ownership.

Sanctuary..Clean and reasonbly safe. Concerned staff! Still..its a residence hotel. Limited bathrooms, transcient residents create usual problems. Overall, good place to start.

I've been here over a month so far. Cool landlord, most people I've ran into are civil and friendly. Central air is good, decent WIFI, cheap in house laundry. Food spot if you're transitioning and trying to get on your feet.

Good place to stay run by nice and friendly people

There has been major improvements had Parkside. The new owner Robert Johnson has put in over $30,000 of repairs and improvements at Parkside residential. The previous owner Joel Brown passed away in September of 2018. Parkside is not a male residential boarding house. Parkside is a respectable business that is Under New Management all the previous employees have been fired and replaced. Major repairs have been made to the roof and all the rooms that were unusable are now completely remodeled. Parkside is not just for males nor is it retirement for gay people. Parkside is for everyone we do not discriminate against people nor do we support any type of discrimination. My name is Robert Johnson I am writing this review in order to refute any and all prior reviews reported since my ownership has taken place. Many of these reviews that have been written about Parkside residential were made by the same people who I fired. These people that I am speaking of are the same people that took advantage of Mr. Joel Brown. When Mr Brown spent several stints in the hospital and nursing homes dealing with numerous health problems Jack Conley the self-titled manager at Parkside and Thomas Taylor and a guy named Lenny and several others robbed, stole and entered into numerous contracts without the permission of Mr. Brown. The way Jack Conley and others treated Mr Brown in his time of need, fighting health problems, is nothing short of criminal, deplorable, deceitful and inhumane. Mr. Joel Brown was the most loving, caring, honest, respectable and honorable person that I have met in my life. Regardless of his lifestyle and what you may think of it. Joel would give the shirt off of his back to anybody in need. He would give people chances who no one else would give chances to because he believed that everybody deserves a second chance. Joel believed there is good in every person and that giving a chance and a little help and support he could make a difference and their lives. If you are reading this and have had the blessings to meet Mr Joel Brown there is no doubt that he probably helped you and was kind to you and every way possible. His name nor his reputation should be defamed by the people who took advantage of him and his kindness. My friend Joel may you rest in peace and take your place in heaven where you belong.
