Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Port Clinton, OH

This is abreast hotel conveniently located near road OH 2. I have stayed here a couple times and have been satisfied with my experience each time. I checked into the hotel at the lobby, which is where the front desk is. When you check in, the hotel gives you a complimentary cookie, which I like. The cookie tasted very good. After I checked in, I walked down the hallway and took the elevator up to the second floor, which is where my room is. Once the elevator got to the second floor, I walked off the elevator and walked to my room. When I opened the door to my room, I was greeted by a nice, clean bathroom and two comfy beds. I put my bags down and went to the hotel’s pool, which is quite nice. It’s an average hotel swimming pool with some chairs and towels, but it’s quite fun to swim around in the pool. After I swam in the pool for a while, I left the pool and went back to my room, where I took a shower. The shower was quite clean, and the water pressure was good. After I finished taking a shower, I laid on one of the beds in the room and fell asleep. The next morning, I woke up, ate breakfast, checked out, and left the hotel, satisfied Edith my experience. I gave this hotel five stars because it has nice rooms and the front desk gives you tasty, complimentary cookies.

I booked a room directly through the hotels website. Upon arrival, I noticed two hairs on my toilet seat and a piece of paper in the actual bowl. I immediately returned to the front desk to notify them and asked that the toilet seat get cleaned again. Sylvie the manager came right out and cleaned it.nnLater that evening I wanted to hang up clothes up in the small closet and saw the ironing board was laid in there instead of hanging on hooks. This made the room for hanging clothes more narrow. See attached pictures.nnI also sat down to watch TV and noticed there wasn't a remote. I used the in-room phone call the front desk. See attached pictures of how dirty the phone was. The connection was terrible so I hung up and walked down myself. They had trouble finding an extra one readily available but eventually did and brought one to me.nBetween 9-11 pm it was super noisy. Loud footsteps going up and down the stairs and people yelling in the hallways. I was hoping for some sort of set quiet hours and that it would be enforced but I guess not.nnWhen getting ready to lay down for the night, I noticed a build up of dust on the lamp next to the bed. The trashcan was also dirty, I get it, it's a trashcan, but you still have to clean it!nnWhile trying to sleep, when the room next to mine, (I was in 106) would flush their toilet, mine would make gargling sounds. This hotel is also by train tracks so if you're a light sleeper, this not the hotel for you.nBreakfast was okay. It was your typical cereal, milk, juice, bagel, donuts, yogurt, and mini pre-packaged pancakes.nnI booked this hotel for a business meeting and recommended it to the people I met up with. Thankfully they booked elsewhere. I would have been so embarrassed if they had booked here based on MY recommendation.nIf I have to come back to Port Clinton, this hotel will be on my list of ones to stay away from.

We stayed here close to the kalahari indoor water park. I work out in the exercise room on the elliptical. Indoor pool was open and the staff was so warm and welcomed us with lots of towels and toiletries. The room was clean and they had light breakfast which is a huge plus with the kiddos. Thanks y'all for a great stay.

Dirty room. Appeared it was never cleaned except to change the bed linens. There was dried urine on the bathroom floor and dripped al the way down the outside of the toilet. Called the desk and someone came up to clean it. After further inspection found food crumbs on the floor and potato chips and beer caps behind the couch and bed. Found a sticker under the tv stand on the floor with dirt and a bug stuck to it. After this we called for a new room. The assistant manager came to our room and we were given 15% off our stay. What a joke. Got home today to see that we have been charged the full price on our credit card. Would not recommend this location to anyone. Very disappointed

Loved this hotel! Price was good, staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, room was fresh, clean, and spacious...everything a hotel should be! Only thing that could maybe be improved were the grab & go breakfast choices but that just seems to be par for the course through the pandemic.
