Trilby Place Apartments

Well the pictures I’ve attached are what they consider as “move in ready”. My wife and I signed the lease for us to get our keys on 8/10/19. On the 10 of August we went to pay the rent and receive our keys. Although we received our keys on the 10th we weren’t actually moving till the 17th. With that being said we actually went to the apartment on the 13th and discovered the apartment in the condition I posted. I brought it up to the “ceo” she assured me everything would be fixed by the Friday before we planned on moving in. We went to the apartment on the 16th to find it in the same exact condition as before. Upon moving in we discovered the dryer wasn’t working. We informed them immediately on the 17th. They then sent a technician over to look at the dryer on the 22nd or 23rd he filled out a part sheet ad submitted it to the owner. At this point I heard nothing from them so I reached out to them and they told me on Friday 23, that they will be bringing a dryer from their storage unit on Monday in the morning time. Monday my wife waited around all day for them to bring a gas dryer for them to realize we have electric. Needles to say they left and the never called us with any information. I believe some one was evicted in the complex where we live so I believe they took their dryer and brought it to us with out even cleaning it. It’s a shame because the property really isn’t bad and the maintenance team is really awesome. I’d say this company lacks one thing and that is leadership. They’re extremely unorganized and although they’re at fault they don’t accept responsibility for their own mistakes and miscommunications. They have no remorse for what my family has gone through on their behalf, and their solution was to let us out of our lease. Over all the complex seems to have nice and polite tenants and all of their staff seems polite as well. Update now that it’s winter their heating system sucks you have it 50 degrees and it kicks on and goes up to 78!! Our power bill is $190 a month during the winter!!!!! It was $100 during the summer and I never shut the ac. This place and owner is a joke!!! Do yourself a favor stay away!!!
