Red Roof PLUS+ Columbus Downtown - Convention Center

I’ve never stayed at a Red Roof and I never will again. There is a parking lot behind the building but guests have to pay for parking across the street. You’re charged for the use to the tiny safe in the room, even if it isn’t used. The photos made the rooms look spacious and clean. They were the exact opposite! You’d think they would take extra cleaning and sanitation precautions during a pandemic! The shower was filthy with hair on the walls. My boyfriend’s towel had what appeared to be pubic hair all over it. We called downstairs to request the room be cleaned. The head of housekeeping came to our room and told us we had to leave in order for her to clean the room. While we are dressing to leave, she knocked on the door rushing us repeatedly. We had trash sitting on top of the trash can (we’d eaten pizza and wings). When we returned to the room, she’d literally JUST cleaned the shower and left the trash. We were refunded half the price of the room.

This hotel is an embarrassment to the arena district of Columbus. To have such an amazing location. You would think they had some pride in the quality of rooms provided. Do not stay at this hotel. The rooms are disgusting and the whole hotel smells like cigarettes. Don’t let the price fool you in thinking that you’re getting something nice. You are not!

After the lack of cleaning and the used condom found in the room. They manager did directly approach us to correct the issue we had. Not to fond of the laziness of the employee. But extremely pleased with the customer care.

No pool, no snacks, no breakfast. Parking is not free and there is a sign in front of the lot saying park at your own risk. Not a good place for a family. Could not get lights or TV to turn on in room. Understaffed.

Most of the staff that works behind the desk is friendly. Halie the morning person is always super helpful and nice. The housekeeping staff can sometimes ve rude and they need to learn to look under the beds when they clean.
