Paul was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He was always just a phone call away and very responsive and helpful. He helped us pick out a stunning hardwood at a great value. Paul and his crew did a fantastic, professional job installing flooring in our home. The quality of work was outstanding. Very precise cuts, even in tight spaces! No exposed nails or damage to any walls. The crew was extremely clean and efficient. Overall, the quality of work and the customer service of Melnik & Sons deserves more than 5 stars. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The best roofing job ever

Credit needs to be given where credit is due. Paul and his guys really helped us out of a bad spot a few weeks back when we had high winds and near-tornado conditions in Scottsville. I had been putting off having a quite large spruce on our property trimmed back, since it appeared if it ever fell, it would fall away from our home. The man upstairs (or Mom Nature — whoever) had a good laugh at that idea and, all I can say is that I was lucky we weren’t home at the time. The winds split the tree in half and the bifurcation sent the heavy side (of course) right onto our roof above our bathroom and a large chunk of our siding. Attached branches shattered the bathroom window, as well. Needless to say, our home was pretty nicely damaged. The Ring camera recorded most of the impact — I’d upload it here if I could! My neighbor had actually used Paul’s services a year prior for roof repairs (also due to high winds), and he was happy to give me his number. We were badly in need of an emergency enclosure. You could literally see the outside from our bathroom. As a side note, you never really realize how insanely dependent you are on your main bathroom until part of the roof is crashed in and you can no longer use it… In any case, Paul was able to get his crew out there pronto and they were actually able to start on the spot; the estimate process was lightning fast and once we agreed on everything (it was quite reasonable), they got to work on closing our house back up temporarily so we could reclaim some sense of normalcy while we started the machinations of dealing with the insurance company and orchestrating the actual structural repair. They definitely treated it like an emergency, and I was very thankful that they appreciated the urgency of the matter. For an emergency enclosure, it honestly looked and performed great. We had rain again the next day after it was enclosed, and we had no issues. The emergency enclosure held up perfectly until we were able to arrange to have the proper repair commissioned. Seeing how well they did in the emergency phase of our ordeal, naturally we went with Mr. Melnik’s team for the full monty and had them do the roof repair, siding, and window. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to do all three. I’ll quit my yappin’ and I guess I’ll just say that I wanted to thank Paul and his guys for going the extra mile and doing it quickly.
