The Original Roofing and Siding Company

I hired them in August of 2019 to repair my leaking metal roof. All seemed legit and good until they did the repair. They charged me $1600 for a little over an hour worth of work and a tube of caulk. Regardless, I was fine as long as the problem was fixed. It wasn’t. Next rainfall, the leaks were the same if not worse. I contacted them back and got nothing but excuses and the run-around until winter hit. This guy is out sick, that guy doesn’t know metal. They came out once more before winter and the guy refused to get on the roof. I’ve been waiting 9 months for a repair I’ve already paid for and the runaround continues. Now it is covid. While all other roofing companies are working, somehow these guys won’t. I offered a completely contact-free solution. I would even proved a sanitized, wiped down ladder. I would not even come outside. That was refused. I was told by the owner to try my homeowners insurance. While this still didn’t seem right to me I just wanted my roof fixed so I tried. My claim was denied and now I have a claim on my record which may cause my rates to increase. I contacted one of many working roofing companies out there and have them coming next week (5/11/20). Paying, again, out of pocket of course. I politely messaged the owner saying I couldn’t wait any longer and I hired someone else. Nine months of leaks and water damage were enough for me after paying almost 2 grand. I asked for my money back and guess what. Almost every other time I messaged, I got an excuse almost right away. This time no response. As soon as court resumes I will be there with message, call and video evidence to get my money back. I will also be requesting additional funds for pain, suffering and damage to my home because of this. This is not right. I will also be reporting this to the BBB. Beware of this company!!!!!!!nnJust an update. I think he blocked my number at this point. I had to hire another company to do the work. They inspected what his company did and laughed. Same as I. $1600 for globs of caulk. They are removing all of the flashing from the chimney down to the metal and replacing it. The right way. They are also charging $100 less!!!!! I am seeking this company to do the right thing and refund my money. Texts will not go through and he will not answer calls. I’ve left a voicemail with no response. I filed a complaint with the BBB and he has not responded to that now weeks later. Guess I will have to take this to court. Good thing I have more than all the evidence I need. My statement stands. Beware of this company!!!!!!!nnAnother update. Let him know you’re going to court and he’ll call. He will also have the nerve to twist the entire story. He was saying I said things I never said. He said I told him not to do work on the chimney. First, yes I did because that’s where it’s leaking and why I called in the first place! Second, he slabbed caulk all over it for his “repair”. Why would they even touch it if I told them not to work on it?? Then he still refused to refund my money and said my “slander” would be his defense in court. Meaning this review I assume. Isn’t slander saying false things? Like if my roof was fixed and I’m just being a jerk? Well it’s not fixed a year later. I don’t know how this guy sleeps at night. Someone saw my review and reached out to me personally on yelp because he did the exact same thing to her. Oh, and still no reply from him to the BBB months later and no word from the attorney general.
