Comfort Suites Vestal Near University

There was rarely anybody at the front desk. Tonight when we came back to the hotel after dinner neither of our card keys worked (happened several times during our stay -- no magnets anywhere near the cards). You guessed it: nobody at the front desk. My husband knocked and pounded on the counter: no response. I was waiting at our door (room 101) and called the number for our hotel. A guy answered and and said he'd be there in a few minutes. Imagine my surprise when the door to room 102 opened and it was a guy in a Comfort Inn shirt. Incredible. The caulking in the bathtub/shower has pulled away and molded. I have been staying here for the last 4 years when I've come to the area. Never again. I'll spend $20 more and find a decent room/decent franchise.

Unprofessional staff. I am a Diamond member. I stayed at this hotel on Saturday and Sunday morning I called the front desk at around 10:20 asking for a late check-out of 12pm. The women who answered said No we don't do late check-outs. I mentioned I thought diamond members received 12pm check-out. She said the hotel is fully booked and your room is booked, you have to be out by 11am. I told her I would leave as soon as I could. She said if I wasn't out by eleven security would come and escort me out of the building then she hung up. I couldn't believe the reply. I called choice privileges to ask about the check-out policy and they said yes if hotel was booked it was at their discretion. The women from the hotel was rude and highly doubted the hotel was booked as Saturday the parking lot was empty. I then brought my bag to the car and stopped at the front desk because I was suppose to stay at this hotel Wednesday thru Saturday. I was canceling those reservations after being threatened to have security to escort me out of the hotel from asking about late check-out. So I said to the girl at the front desk were you the one I just spoke to about a late check-out she said no but a late check out is no problem. I then explained to her my conversation I just had 15 min earlier with a staff member. I mentioned how I was told I had to be out my room was booked. She said your room is not booked. She claimed to have no idea about the situation and I let her no I would be following up with a manager and to cancel any future reservations. I will be in touch with management and hopefully they have those phone calls recorded as I simply asked for a late check-out. I was lied to, threaten to be removed and hung up on.. crazy world we live in now. Unacceptable behavior. There are too many other hotels that will take my money and provide good customer service but this hotel needs to retrain a certain staff member..

It won’t allow me to put less than one star. We had a reservation for today. Arrived and the front desk clerk was incredibly disrespectful. She also had a halter top on and appeared to be lacking any undergarments and it’s December. I asked to speak to the manager and she laughed at me. She then gave me a phone number to call so I could speak to him today. An elderly woman answered and stated she receives called constantly on her number for the comfort inn. She wasn’t the manager and is quite tired of getting calls. I go back inside and the clerk said “whoops, guess you will just have to wait till tomorrow.” My husband arrived with our bags and she continued to be incredibly rude. We ended up leaving the property. We will never return again. Please, use other properties as there are a dozen other hotels within a quarter mile away that have people fully clothed that are polite and helpful.

Literally disgusting, there was homeless people that were living in the hotel. We bought the hot tub room, and there was a crack in it. Amber was the only person who cleaned the place! We made sure to give her a tip. The pool had hair and masks all over. There were no towels anywhere and honestly was disgusting. Immediately left as soon as we realized what the hotel was actually like. I wish I could rate a place 0 stars, because it was so bad. Glad amber is quitting, so this dump can get shut down.

Stayed for the week for work. Very clean and the staff was attentive and professional. Will be back my next time in the area!
