Green Gate is the ultimate serene getaway. I have been to Green Gate multiple times now and every time it gets harder to leave. The first time I stayed in the Barn House, and most recently I stayed in the Miner's House. Both were amazing. Not only are the Guest Houses immaculately kept, they're beautifully and intentionally designed; each and every one is a true gem. I would highly recommend staying at Green Gate whether you're looking to be out in the woods, on the water, or downtown Biwabik. No matter which Guest House you choose, you'll be close to activities and outdoor recreation. Top notch accommodations, highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed at the Log Cabin over Labor Day weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary and didn't wan't to leave when our stay was over. Shawn operates these guest houses in such a way that no detail is overlooked with unmatched hospitality. We enjoyed golfing at Giants Ridge during our stay as well as having a campfire at the cabin. It is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy. We will definitely return when we can!

The intricate attention to detail is soothing to the senses and rejuvenating to the soul. I found the minors house to be the perfect space to write, play music, make food(fully equipped for making all kinds of food), read a book and the woods were great to befriend as well. The abundance of out door activities were surprising to me... the architecture is supreme and aids to the grandeur of the experience. Treat yourself to an experience that's beyond the beyond. ♡☆♡

How does one express the excitement and joy walking into the Miners Cabin? It was jaw dropping gorgeous! The mixture of new and vintage was balanced to perfection. The history and talent of how Shawn has crafted/remodeled the Green Gate Guest Houses is truly amazing. This is the most comfortable stay I have ever experienced. The large windows with views of nature, the easy use of the fireplace, the convenient path to Mesabi trail, every touch made us feel special.nI highly recommend a stay at any of the houses on this property!nGreen Gates thank you for a wonderful stay!
