Hy-Vee Pharmacy

About a little over a month ago I was here for the first time at the pharmacy. Picking up a new medication. Figured since I love grocery shop here a lot maybe trying out the pharmacy would be even better than my usual pharmacy but no! I arrived there gave the asian gal what they needed from me. She told to wait 10 minutes and it should be ready so I went over and sat down on one of the chairs because I'm disabled and so I waited. I noticed a woman there during the same time I was there and she sat down shortly after I did. She was called up to get her meds after a couple of minutes has passed so I was thinking maybe they're still getting mine ready? The young man behind the counter kept looking at me and kept turning away even after helping her get her medication. The gal that helped me came out to go buy lunch came back and didn't say anything either. I just told myself to give it more time so 20 minutes passed so I finally went up and asked the young man are my medication ready? He walks over about almost 5 feet away and grabs it. At that point I was thinking well geez how long has it been sitting there ready for me? He was barely doing anything. Just putting a few stuff away and walking practically doing nothing but chit-chatting with coworkers and sanitizing his hands repeatedly looking at me and majority of the time ignoring me the passed 20 minutes? I'm still upset and speechless a month after?

Well , the pharmacy staff needs a little education in human frailties the two staff people that were on that day , were as busy as 2 dead ants . They did nothing but repeatedly sanitized the counters and themselves as far as the wait . Well , it will be the last . I would rather self serve. It was 45 min to an hour before I went up and asked , very disappointed and disrespectful. Theseemed un interesting to the affects of other times constraints.

Today I had an appt for a covid test. I am aware I was 10 minutes late to my appt. I went in to ask if I could still take a test. The pharmacy clerk rolled her eyes at me and told me to go outside to the drive up phone. I couldn't find the phone and she angrily pointed it out to me. I picked up the phone. She then stated that I was late and no other tests were available. I told her I understood. It was my fault for not being on time. I am a Hispanic woman and felt totally disregard and treated as 2nd class citizen. You pharmacy staff needs to be educated on customer for all people's.

I love Hy-Vee. Staff is so friendly and helpfull! Wouldn't go to any other pharmacy. Also, I can pick up things I need from the grocery store. Very Convenient!ud83dudc4d

Haven't used them a ton, but my experiences have really been the best you can have. I was tried the drive thru for picking up a prescription after my wife was uncomfortable from having surgery and they explained​ things patiently and nicely.
