It works but for a place to sleep. Overpriced for sure though. Front desk was polite and all, it just isn't worth what they charge compared to other hotels. I've stayed in MUCH MUCH nicer rooms for the same price as this place.
Renting a heated fish house. Houses clean and toasty warm. We even caught some fish. Plus, they cleaned them for us.
I would do 3.5 stars for this hotel but I can only do 1-5. This is a quaint hotel in fishing country. We decided to drive up the day before our cabin was available and we have always driven by this hotel so opted to stay here.nnThe staff are super friendly. From the gal who called to take out reservation to the front desk guy. Both were pleasant to talk to. The room is quiet. Solid walls. We did not hear a thing all night. Bed is comfy. It is noisy when you sit on it so we were worried about sleeping on it but it was good. Endless hot water for the shower. Note that if you are over 5’4” you will have to duck your head under the shower head. The room was clean. There is a microwave and mini fridge in the room which we didn’t use.nnThe only thing I would say needs work is the carpet. It looks old and there are a number of stains on it. It should be replaced. We just kept our socks on to walk on it.nnAll in all we would definitely stay here again.
You never quite know what to expect in a rural destination motel. I was pleasantly surprised as the owners and staff of this property exceeded all my expectations. This is the best value in the area, and my top selection for where to stay when in town.
The staff are super friendly. This is a very clean hotel, will definitely come back!
