A very old, nice and cheap place to stay. It's mostly shade all day around there, peaceful and a gorgeous setting in a beautiful river and creek valley. Check out the Spillway or go tubing from Peterson to Rushford during the summer months. Great place to stay while you go hunting in the fall, or snowmobiling in the winter snowy months. Dave the owner is a very nice and friendly guy with lots of knowledge about where to go for places to explore or eat.

Windswept Inn, where to begin?! Beautiful, Small-Town, home-like atmosphere!!! Few units (Love the privacy) More than fair rates: As I said small-town, the owner is a sweet man, They are very family oriented! Wonderful place all around, simple rooms but sufficient all around! I Would go as far as recommend this place to my mother!!! ud83dudc95

4.5 stars!nStayed there last summer. Close to Rochester, Winona and Lanesboro MN.n1/2 the price of motels in those towns! Just as nice. Retro, clean, cozy and comfy. Slept great. Owner super nice!nWane J Minneapolis

Dont stay here. Rooms are so very tiny and it is extremely dirty. Bathroom is microscopic. A bigger person couldnt turn all the way around in there, you have to back in and walk out.
