We stay all the time when we visit.
The place is old but very clean. The price was good and the staff was very friendly. We had a great view of Lake Superior
We had a whirlpool room on one of the coldest weekends of 2021! Much needed! Aspen Lodge was clean, roomy and the staff were friendly. We will remember Aspen the next time we are up!
A very good, semi-small hotel right on the shores of Lake Superior. Staff were talkative and genuinely seemed like they enjoyed being there.
Price did not match the environment. Room was clean but run down. Water stains on ceiling and floor in bathroom. Poor mattress and what looked like blood on pillowcase. I wouldn't mind if the price was lower but we paid $160/night for a very beat up room.nOnly plus side was the staff being very kind and attentive. Nice variety of options for their on the go breakfast.
