Can’t say enough great things about our experience here. Great hosts, beautiful views, and east access to Acadia National Park. Already looking to book a return trip.
Maine ocean view camping. FHU and full service hosts. Solid AC power and strong internet. We have nice views especially fun watching the fog come in and out. Quick walk to classic Maine downtown Winter Harbor with restaurants, Farmer's Market and fun General Store (has everything from duck tape to souvenirs). Close to Bar Harbor Ferry and 1/2 mile to entrance of Schoodic NP
Great area, nice hosts, hard to find a nicer place in the area. Looking forward to returning in the future.
We had a great stay at MainStay with Pearl and Roger! You could not beat the view and serenity of their location. We had no problems with our RV hookup, parking our car and our tow Foley. Pearl gave us a complete list of kid friendly restaurants and activities to do near Winter Harbor and also in Acadia. We rode bikes to the Bakery, Chase’s restaurant and the Farmers Market—close enough for our 4 and 6 year old. There is a clean washer and clothesline on property which we used. There is also a full laundry facility just a couple of steps next door. We appreciated the communal fire pit complete with kindling and wood! Also really appreciated the book, magazine and DVD collections.nnWould definitely recommend staying at MainStay!
