During a New England road trip, we decided to book a room at this B&B on a whim. It turned out to be one of the most memorable stays on the week long journey for me and my best friend. The room was clean and charming, and the B&B as a whole was quiet. We loved the private beach and our room overlooked the ocean, making for a relaxing night sleep. The welcome we received from the owner was warm, and the breakfast that morning was perfect (they included edible flowers; I thought that was interesting!) and then we were on our way. There are a lot of things to see in the area, as well, and the owners are helpful in that regard with advice. Definitely worth a look!
This beautiful inn, located a minute's walking distance from the privately owned sandy beach, is a great place to stay in near Acadia National Park. The owner and the staff are extremely nice and welcoming, and they provide a lot of great recommendations in the area. This part of Acadia National Park is less popular, but much more peaceful and quiet, with scenic views and beautiful sights. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and neat. It feels like every detail was meant to make a pleasant stay for you. We had a spectacular view of the ocean from our room. We came with two kids, and they both felt like this was the best bed and breakfast ever! The breakfast was served in three courses- all were delicious and served in beautiful dishes and with great creativity. All the food was homemade and prepared with the best and healthiest ingredients. Overall we had an incredible stay, and we can't wait to come again!
We found this inn by chance, everything was booked up and it just so happened that someone had cancelled!! Lucky for us! Wish we could have stayed longer. The accommodations were cozy and the inn has been well cared for. The Staff was friendly and helpful. We were given brochures of the area and this really helped us choose what to do since we were only there for 1 day.nThe sandy beach right across the street was an amazing place to watch the sun rise, very quiet and we got to watch seals playing!! We took a hike that morning on the property and it was wonderful. We needed a calm night away and that is exactly what we got!nCan't wait to visit again!
We spent one week at this magnificent Inn. From the moment we got there we were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff. The place is warm and inviting - fabulous for a Fall vacation with the colors of the leaves. Ben Walter, the owner of the Inn, is a very passionate advocate of the environment, and he works really hard at preserving the beautiful natural resources. We had many interesting conversations with him. He is personable and made sure to stop by at breakfast to chat with people and to make sure everyone was having a good time. Also, he referred us to great restaurants where we had fabulous meals. Make sure you take time to look at the sky at night to see a sea of stars. We loved this place and have plans to return.
The owner Ben was extremely nice, helpful and knowledgeable. We had never stayed in a B&B before but was pleasantly surprised. The food was great, the rooms and bathrooms were clean. We definitely enjoyed our stay and recommend staying with them! They are about an hour north from the park but there are trails directly behind them and a smaller peninsula to explore as well!
