This is a rustic old-time feel of an in on the coast of Maine. Located at the end of Bailey's Island it is a place to get away from the hustle and bustle and just enjoy the beauty of the ocean. Bring cash as they do not take plastic.
As a pt. (Seasonal) employee since 1989..I can honestly say there is no place I'd rather be. Relaxed comfortable, rustic & beautiful, with a phenomenal view.
Went for dinner two times this Summer. Both times were very good. Food is simple and good. Servers are pleasant. The location of the dining room is great, with nice water views. You need to have your dinner orders in by 4:30 the day you want to dine there and it is cash or personal check only. Dinner is a 6:00. Open seasonally for dinner from mid-June to Labor Day, but does have a weekend Supper Club in the Spring and Fall. They also offer breakfast during the Summer season.
We have stayed and had Dinners and you can't beat the view's, I recommend the going to the Driftwood and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed
