My fav motel, my new fav quiet islandnThis motel was perfect and the gold standard for a low key getaway. Kudos to the owner / manager team! Free cold breakfast (amazing cinnamon muffins!), comfortable rooms with slightly dated but charming coastal furniture, games & books in the lobby, free kayaks to rent, and an amazing location right over a small bridge to the island. If you are reading this and have not already been to baily island - go! A charming island 45ish mins north of Portland with the peaceful and picturesque Maine backdrop you only hear about. Bailey Island Motel offers such a great home base to relax for a night or two. I believe there is hiking and lots of relaxing, however only We only stayed for 1 night on our way from Portland to bar Harbor and would 10000% do it again. Imagine you could make more of a long weekend than we did, but a pit stop here is great and leaving us wanting more.

This is the cutest and best motel I’ve ever stayed at. The owners could not be any kinder or more accommodating. I told them I had a nut allergy they made sure to make delicious breakfast muffins completely nut-free with no problem at all. The room was super clean and included all necessities. The outdoor decor and land surrounding the motel is beautiful and very well maintained. Kayaking is included in the stay and all the kayaks are in great condition and easy to maneuver in and out of the water. The view outside and on the water is gorgeous. Everything about our stay was perfect. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I highly recommend it to anyone that has the chance to stay here!

What a wonderful motel. Paul accommodated me at the 11th hour, and a restful sleep ensued along with a delicious blueberry muffin the following morning. The location is superb with gorgeous views from the lawn and ample seating for motel guests. I'll definitely stay here on my next visit to Bailey Island!

Very clean. Beautiful views. Friendly owners. This is such a beautiful location. We were able to sit out in the balcony and watch the sunset. Theirs no AC but with a fan and an open window we were comfortable. For breakfast the owner bakes muffins and they are just wonderful!! The blueberry was my favorite but the cinnamon was good also. If you travel during this covid time I just want to warn you the restaurants close early.
