Stu, the owner, is legitimately one of the nicest guys I've ever met and makes getting into the hobby easy. I have not owned a bike in 15 years, and I live in Rockford. Every bike shop I've been to in my area is unhelpful likely given that I do not know anything about bikes. Stu took the time to teach me enough about bikes to help me make an informed decision about what was the best bike for me. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the hobby. While the Rockford shops didn't really help me, Freeport is the kind of shops that wants to help you get into the hobby, help you advance skill levels in the hobby, and most importantly help you enjoy the hobby. Stu went out of his way several times to help answer questions post purchase or even help me make the purchase. I've enjoyed working with them so much that I've decided that I only want to support this shop going forward. I hope others check them out and see what they could be missing out on!
