Sear's Pharmacy

This is opposite of a corporate pharmacy! Highly recommended!

This place is the absolute best. They're super helpful and downright delightful. Sear's is legitimately one of my favorite businesses in Oak Park.

Moved into the area was looking for local small more personal type pharmacy a doctor recommended Sears pharmacy. Was a customer over a year, had excellent service with Tom and the other gentleman there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND and give NEGATIVE stars to the woman Pharmacist. She’s hateful, rude, not compassionate, NEVER admits to errors. Avoid her like the plague if you need help! I was out of town for work requested my diabetic medication to be sent to a local pharmacy where I was located, CVS faxed over the request, I checked in next day they had not received anything back, went in the next day - nothing still, so I called to check with Sears, the lady answered, when I tried to ask if it had been sent over she stated she was to busy and didn’t have time to be on hold waiting to speak to a CVS or a Walgreens pharmacy. The pharmacist at CVS heard her say this so she called Sears, the lady at Sears was rude, didn’t let the other pharmacists hardly say a word and hung up on them before all the information needed was given. They called back because and resent the request, when Sears finally sent it only half the prescriptions were sent. It took days later to get It correct an another pharmacist at Sears corrected it and apologized for her behavior and inconvenience. Another incident, I refilled my medications as usual one of my medication is for nerve pain, has always been 25mg, (this was a refill from in the system), when I got home an went to take it I realized the pill was a different color and size, I looked at the bottle, it was filled for 75mg, the next day I called said there must be a mistake, I only take 25mg, she argued it was filled correctly, I asked her to please look at my profile it will show I have only taken 25mg, Inhave been on it since 2009, she continued to argue. I finally asked her to pull it and an please verify it because I have never taken that much, her reply she was to busy and knows she had done it correctly that is what the prescription was written for. I explained, this was a refill not a new prescription, she continued to be unhelpful so I hung up and called my doctor he stated he did not raise the dosage. I waited and had one of the other pharmacist help me, I believe it was Tom. He was very helpful, extremely nice and apologetic for the error and he corrected it without a problem. I am out of town on a work assignment, my husband drove 4 hours back to take care of my prescriptions in person so there would be no more issues like when I tried to transfer since I am completely out of my medication. Yesterday, he went to get my medications filled, due to issues in the past he called ahead spoke to the other nice male pharmacist to verify they had enough of 2 of the medications to fill, he was told they did. So went all the way there, dropped them off went to run a few errands, when he came back the lady pharmacist was working and none of them were filled, she stated they didn’t have enough and two of the other prescriptions had to be verified and she did not have time to verify or be on hold. When trying to explain to her he called ahead an was told there was enough, she was asked why is there always a delay or problem when she is doing prescriptions but not with anyone else there, she became extremely rude said then don’t come here when I am here, asked to speak with Tom she said he isn’t here and hung up. This morning I was woke up to a phone call from her stating she decided my family can no longer fill our prescriptions there. Jokes on her.... Due to her rude, hateful, complete unprofessional attitude, incompetence, an lack of ability to admit she makes mistakes and just plain ugly attitude, we decided we were not returning. Her behavior and errors have been reported but nothing is ever done about it. Sad they allow her to treat customers as she does. I feel sorry for her coworkers. People have bad days this lady has never smiled or been friendly EVER, just mean and nasty person. She should retire.

Been going to Walgreens for a long time and getting the shaft Sears is the best for prices and services great
