Older motel, but very nice! Price is very reasonable. Quiet location just a few miles from Mt. Vernon in I-57. Good place to avoid congestion at Mt. Vernon exit. Well maintained, and owner is very friendly. Stayed overnight during trip from Tennessee to Missouri. Would definitely stay again on future trips.

I called these place to ask for rates and in order to give you a rate they ask for your name and what state your calling and more information and if you don't provide they don't give you rate. What does it matter from what state your calling to get a rate. Very rude people.

I was stranded, with my little dog. Across the highway, and out of money and gas, it had gotten late and I attempted one more time on the highway to walk find help or to my destination, I seen the hotel sign and said. I need to see what I can do. And sadly I only had 11 more miles to go. No phone and didnt know my numbers. I woke then up it was so late. He was so friendly and his wife was woke up as well. He had such a good sense of humor. And he gave me $2 so i could finally after 6 hours of passerbys. And gas station attentendant in that town at the time treated me as some kind of bad person. All i needed was help , I had bad road trip already. Hence no phone. And they were the only help I recieved. The owners didnt have to give me the time of day. But they did And he did what he could. At the time it was and I was more than grateful. I would stay just because they were so kind

I slept very soundly and comfortably. I arrived just before midnight and was checked in and paid in under 5 minutes. The walls are made of cinder blocks so it felt safe and was extremely quiet. The A/C worked well and the water was hot. The room was clean with only a very faint odor of cigarettes from the distant past (like every motel in the country). AND IT WAS ONLY $50 !
