Hotel Ottumwa

Built in 1915, the inside of this hotel was like walking through a time machine. The architecture of this building is amazing. Will come back again.

If I could give this place negative stars I would! We got here about 11pm with 3 small children, we pulled the couch out made it and put the kiddos to bed not thinking anything, my oldest came and woke my husband up screaming she sees bugs, sure enough enough bugs were crawling all over the sheets my kids are covered in bites, they refused to give us any refund and said theirs nothing they can do. I asked to speak to a manager and they said they didn't have one for me to speak too. We took the sheet that was covered in bugs to the desk in a bag. They did nothing but throw it away! We took live video of this! Such an awful thing.

This place has bed bugs! Extremely bad, I would not recommend staying here

Fantastic staff and CLEAN rooms. Hotel restaurant, bar and hair salon all top notch!

Staying here on Jan 11,2020. 16 degrees outside got to our room no heat on literally 54 degrees in room. Took hours to warm up..
