Residence Inn by Marriott Cedar Rapids South

Fell on non shoveled walk way.nWas bit by dog allowed to run freely in hallway.nHotel was informed and I was simply informed will look into it.nThere not so positive response makes me want to seek the advice of an attorney.

Well simple as it can be I had reservations made for me by a friend. I had two young children I was coming back from another location and we were tired we did not want to continue home we were on vacation. I got to the hotel I tried checking in I use my name and their name and they found nothing my children are upset they wanted to swim. I even spelled our names out. Well my friend had been sleeping when he woke up I had to talk to him and let him know that there was no hotel reservations according to the man at the desk. Well lo and behold my friends credit card got charged there was a room he couldn’t find it for whatever reason it was pretty upsetting I’ve stayed at this hotel several times it’s hit and miss. Normally my children are not with me so it was kind of disappointment.

This had to be the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Room had not been vacuumed, stains on furniture and walls, dirt on shower curtain liner. I have stayed at many Residence Inns and this was the worst. Front desk staff nice but otherwise horrible experience. Stuff all over the floor when we checked in on our hallway, still not cleaned up the next day. Trash can at entrance was overflowing when we arrived and still overflowing when we left the next day. There really should be some standardization of these hotels.

Workers had masks during COVID19, staff was very nice, breakfast was skimpy, but overall the hotel was very clean. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here.

Marriott properties are my favorite spots to stay and this one didn't disappoint
