Motel 6 Cedar Rapids, IA

It was cheap and had a new fridge, TV, and microwave. There wasnt a light in the bathroom (burned out), and the smell in the room was a combination of urine and smoke. Due to covid, we bring Lysol and wipes with us when we travel. If we hadn't had the Lysol I would have asked for my money back. We did have a quiet room. The room appeared clean, but that smell ruined everything.

Motel 6 originally got its name for the fact that back in the 60's, the going rate for a motel room believe it or not was $8.. So as a savvy marketing idea, the original one undercut that by 2 bucks, therefore charging $6.. although the rates and cost of operations wouldn't allow for that ridiculously cheap rate to stay very long, the chain's name was forever sealed..

It's a hotel. You pay money and stay. No bugs in my room. Upgraded microwave. Decent mini fridge.

Hot water didn't work in the shower. Otherwise I had a good stay and will stay again

Everything was okay aside from no hot water and low water pressure smelled of cigarette smoke im a smoker aswell take it outside hotel housekeepers keep stuff if you forget it in the room dont recommend keeping anything of value in motel leave it in your vehicle
