Absolutely wonderful bike shop. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. They are giving back to the community and are great. Only issue is limited parking.

I brought by a bike I recently purchased to have the rear derailleur looked at. D was incredibly friendly and informative as he worked on the bike. He took his time to look over other aspects of the bike as well. I had a really great experience and will be back for future tune-ups!

Purchased my first bicycle in over 25 years from them. They were more than helpful throughout the process. Answered all of my questions in a way that a beginner could grasp. I felt that they really wanted me to purchase the correct bike for me.

I cannot recommend Redemptive Cycles enough. They are nonprofit and are, in my opinion, the best cycle shop in town. Excellent prices, friendly knowledgeable staff, and a very cool shop. If you're in need of a bike, equipment, advice, etc., go by there!!!! You won't regret it.

Redemptive is not your typical bike shop. As a nonprofit shop, they do more than sales and repairs. They also work hard to equip Birmingham's in-need communities with bikes and service as a means of transportation. At the end of the day, Redemptive is just full of really good people. They're also informative and refreshingly patient, which seems to be a frustratingly rare quality for local shops. If you're new to cycling or just want to support a business that does more for the greater cycling community in Birmingham, this would absolutely be my recommendation.
