Holiday Inn Conference Ctr Marshfield

After leaving the funeral home after my dad's funeral. My husband and I decided to eat at the restaurant. The staff and food was amazing. We had a couple of drinks and decided we should not make our 3-hour trip home but to stay the night. We walked over to the hotel to get a room. The girl at the front desk was extremely rude and not helpful. When I asked for a room she just said a price without any inquiry about what I was looking for. When I said I had a different price on my phone from the same place I looked at the menu for the restaurant, she said I would have to book it online and she couldn't help. I've sat in the lobby at 9 30 pm and booked the room from my phone. When I went up 5 minutes later she told me that room was not available. I reserved for a king-size bed. she told me that she could give me a room with two queen size beds and I said I did not want that and what could she do me because had to go through the trouble of booking my room while in the lobby and then finding out that I couldn't get the room I just booked from the lobby. She didn't say a word and did her thing on the computer gave us keys when I open the room I got two queen-size beds. I would think at 9:30 p.m. on a Tuesday night they probably could have upgraded the room for the inconvenience especially with an employee with a poor attitude towards customer service. I was exhausted from events from my dad's funeral and just wanted to sleep. When I left in the morning just before 10 am I was going to speak to the person at the front desk however the same rude employee was there. When I walked up to turn in my keys she was short, not friendly and seem to carry the attitude from the night before. I decided to walk out the unhappy about my experience because it just wasn't worth the effort and I did not want to talk to her again. I grew up in this town and go back often to visit. But have not yet stayed in this hotel. I assure you with that kind of service not only will I not stay there again I will not recommend it to anyone I know. I may eat at the restaurant because even though I got there a half hour before they closed I did not feel rushed and everyone was friendly. Having a nice hotel to stay at doesn't mean anything if you have poor employees and can't make up for service failures after you make the guest jump through hoops.

Incompetent staff charged my card for the two nights I had already paid for! When I went to ask why, her only response? I'm new. Next morning, went back up front and the clerk said she admitted the new girl made a mistake and would text her manager to get it removed before Monday...CRICKETS and no change and they continued to hold my $135 hostage! This place will NOT see me again. 3 stars is a HUGE OVERSTATED LIE

We stayed for one night due to having medical appointments. The hotel was extremely clean and hotel staff was exceptional. My standards are very high as I manage a hotel in northern Wisconsin so I aware of what is expected. Other than the pool being closed due to focus 19, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend staying there.

Pretty good service, and decent rooms, but they let decommissioned fountain out front accumulate 4 - 5 inches of water that they don’t treat. Mosquito breeding pit; sitting on bench out front for 10 min at dusk Friday 7/10/20 killed 5, but still bit by 2 mosquitoes! My usual spot for business, but they need to do something about this!

My wife and i stayed here for 10 days and the staff was great. Down to earth and understanding. The new hotel manager Laura was amazing. She always helped us anytime we needed it and any questions we had, she answered them. We needed new towels or toilet paper or anything from small to big, she had no problem helping us. It was an awesome stay and would highly reccomend anyone to choose Holiday Inn in Marshfield Wisconsin. Ask for Laura the manager.
