Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio Six Flags® at The RIM

What an awesome place! Very nice staff. We stayed in rooms 525 and 527 for just one night and it was the best part of our trip. It was just what we needed. They called after we left to let me know we left a pair of earrings and they offered to mail them to us! Who does that? So nice. Beds were comfy! Rooms are an important part of where you stay when you travel and I highly recommend this place!

For the price per room there is much better value out there. The hotel was clean and nice. The AC in our room was erratic and made a ton of noise resulting in poor sleep for our whole family. The neighboring room had maintenance working on their AC unit until 10pm, so we were kept awake later than we wanted to be as well. The bedding for the pull out couch was missing and took over half an hour to be delivered once requested.nnThe pool was small/shallow but clean. If you're not there by 4, expect it to be in full shade. The bag toss boards and giant connect 4 were a hit for our kids.nnThe breakfast crew had no showed for two days in a row but the front desk took care of it. We ate bacon, egg, and cheese muffins but they were not heated through in the middle.nnI appreciate the staff working hard, but next time I'll probably save $100-$150 per night and stay at Hampton or Holiday Inn.

Checked in late this evening and the front desk put us in a different room than we booked. The description was not congruent with what the room looked like. Called the front desk to address the mistake and was told that the correct room was sold out and there was nothing she could do. After a minute of attempting to negotiate for the room that we booked the final response from the front desk was “what do you want me to do about it?” in a condescending tone. We escalated to the manager who explained that the description on my confirmation email was not valid or accurate, they did not have a room as described on the website and on my confirmation email. Seeing this was going nowhere we decided settle with what we had and prepare the sofa bed only to find that it was not checked and the sheets were not removed from the previous guests in the room. There was a dirty blanket and stained sheets left behind. We called the front desk to explain and request someone bring fresh linens immediately and her response was “you need to check the drawer and change the sheets” again in a condescending tone. There were no sheets in any drawer of the room. What a disaster and unbelievable lack of respect and customer service. Fortunately and eventually they sent a lady to change out the sheets and she was extremely embarrassed. Bottom line is this place is performing poorly in customer service, cleanliness, and the descriptions of the rooms on the website do not reflect what you get in reality. The cliche of you get what you pay for is in full effect here and they don’t even seem to care.

I LOVE. MARRIOTT!!!! The rooms and service is ALWAYS impeccable. The perfect place to sneak away from my sons and grandchildren...the only decent rest my whole visit...I'm going to keep a room on reserve! ud83dudc9cud83dudc9cud83dudc9c
