Holiday Inn Express Salado-Belton

Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff that saved us from frigid house when we lost electricity for 2 days. Unfortunately, when we went back a couple days later when the next storm came in, they were closed. I guess they lost electricity this time too. The rooms are well cared for and clean. The staff are caring and wonderful. I would be there right now through this storm and ice if they were open. Thanks for helping us! It's nice to know your hotel is there in times of need.

The first day I got here wasn’t bad. I thought it was okay, but a little on the pricy side for the outdated appliances, disgusting carpet, and broken washers. After an entire fiasco with the washing machine, and no resolution from customer service, as well as a rude manager (I was extremely polite and nice and told them I was not upset with them personally as none of this was their fault), I am never coming back. I am completely disheartened and disappointed considering how nice Dixie at the front desk was even though she was extremely overworked, handling way too many people (entire hotel is booked for the duration of my stay- 4 nights). I tried so hard to be considerate and nice and help out the workers here because I know none of the issues going on is directly their fault. The owner of this hotel needs to update the furniture, carpet, and appliances because this place is a nightmare. To add to this- it was just me staying. I didn’t have anyone or any pets with me at all (but I do have three dogs at home so I’m an understanding pet parent). It’s also a zoo here. As much as I love animals, this is insane. It seems like the majority of guests here have one or multiple dogs and they’re all barking all hours of the day and night. Also- just so we’re all clear, I’m not sure where they’re showing $88 a night. I got a terrible room on floor 2, and I spent roughly $437 for a four night stay.

Outdated, shabby rooms, furniture with visible wear and tear. Bed visibly saggy.nDue to bad weather, they could not provide breakfast, as the HI Express is supposed to. We had to spend extra time and money to find breakfast, but they refused to give a credit, not even points toward our rewards account.nIce maker was out of service.nAlso, the toilet clogged, and when I went to the front desk to get help, I was handed a toilet plunger wrapped in a garbage bag. How gross. Do they not have maintenance?nWorst Holiday Inn experience ever!

Called regarding early check-in prior to arriving. When we arrived, 1 hour before the regular check in time at 3p, there were apparently no rooms ready. A whole 5 cars were in the parking lot... I couldn’t believe it. We had a wedding to attend at 3 and ended up getting dressed in the car.

First time staying at this hotel due to work and from the time of talking with the front desk and arriving way earlier then planned they were able to accommodate me great service and great rooms will definitely stay again if I’m in the area
