This is a great place! We had a wonderful girls weekend here. Our suite was very clean, cute and fully furnished. The grounds were beautiful and there were patios and gazebos all around in addition to the porch on our suite. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming and informative about shopping and dining. Even though the inn was fully booked, it seemed very quiet and private. We loved it. Many thanks!

We had an absolute lovely time in Salado Texas at the Baines House Inn, during Texas History Days! Stayed in the cattle Baron Suite, accommodations were perfect. Very well taken care of, lots of history and cool visual treats! We loved spending time in the evenings out on the balcony. Shopped in town, had dinner at Alexander’s Distillery on the creek (food was excellent) and even shared dinner with new friends aka Kim and Kelly! We will definitely be back, did not do all we wanted to do there in their quaint town!

Excellent location in terms of area shops, restaurants, and brewery. However, I found the Inn decor to be very creepy. Also, the showers (especially the one upstairs) were designed for extremely short people. I am 5'4 and the shower head came to my chest. Be ready to limbo if you want to get all of the soap out of your hair. Overall not bad, but I might check out other places to lodge first.
