La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lawton / Fort Sill

Back in the days all locations of La Quinta was great. Together with Days Inn nowadays probably not too well. I still have fond memories with this place! The Indian reserve will always be with me! The mountain view with my mom & brother is priceless he was leaving to go to war!!! Time machine on 80's!

The room had bugs. Albeit they were harmless and the type attracted to lights but still. Their elevator was broken and room I had was by the back entrance. The door was a sticky door that had to be forcefully shoved open and slammed shut. Needless to say I got no sleep. The manager did give me a discount so that's a bonus. But still, I'd be leery of staying here again. Quite disappointed.

No luggage carts available at check-in. Front desk says customers use them then keep them in their rooms. If this is an issue then maybe you should get a deposit up front? That should stop that.nNo orange juice or apple juice for breakfast downstairs. Just microwaved biscuits that were dry and stale.nThey overcharged my card when I specifically asked them at check-in what they were going to take. So, now because of their mistake I have to wait to get my money back!!!nnThese hotels in Lawton are just terrible. Customer service is unprofessional, rooms are eeh...nIf you want service you deserve you will need to sleep at the high end hotels.

My wife and I stayed here two nights. We checked in late, close to midnight, and were greeted by an employee behind the counter who was NOT masked AND was sniffing frequently. ud83dude33 There was a plastic partition no larger than 3' x 3' separating me from this sickly sounding employee. I provided my ID and credit card to this employee who had touched his face a couple of times... needless to say, those items were sanitized as soon as we got to our room!! Saw another employee sitting behind the check in counter the next day who was not masked as well... and this hotel had signs up all over the place stating wearing a mask was mandatory! ud83eudd26ud83cudffb‍♂ufe0f Also encountered some guests who were not masked.nnThe room itself was a decent size, the king size bed was fairly comfortable. Bathroom was a good size, however, my wife detected mold on some of the bathtub caulking.nnWe decided to book a room elsewhere for the duration of our stay in Lawton after all of this.

Looks great so far 1st night here. Convienent to all kinds of places. More later.
