Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Boone

The hotel is undergoing renovations. The rooms are done but, the lobby is in process. The room AC unit is loud, in spite of the renovation. The bed is a bit firmer than I prefer but, it works. The service is spotty at the front desk. As with other hotels during this time, housekeeping is by request only, that is fine though.

Worst customer service. Waited 5 hours to get a room previously reserved because they were having house keeping issues. The front desk staff was unwilling to tell us how long it would be until we got a room and the answer we got... I don’t know I only make $10.00 an hour.nnNo manager available and no house keeping able to get rooms ready in time. Do yourself a favor a run. Stay somewhere else this place is the worst.

To start, the beds are very uncomfortable. Have been here twice this year and both times have disliked the lack of comfort, but this last trip really was bad. I tend to work nights and sleep during the day. I posted the fo not disturb sign on the door and got ready for bed. I was almost asleep when there came a knock and a voice, “Housekeeping.” Told them I worked nights. Less than a minute later the phone rings. Oh and the drive from 321 to the hotel can damage your car if you are not careful. There is a very, very large and deep pothole as soon as you make the turn. Half of your wheel would fit in the hole so you need to keep close to the curb to avoid it. Not just their problem though, they share that bit of drive with Applebee’s’s and Chick-Fillet. Still must be very careful and fo NOT expect a good night(or day’s) sleep
