The Swag

The Swag is a little piece of heaven, literally, at 5000’. THE VIEWS! This was our 4th stay and we loved our 3 nights there; two in the Salmon Room and fortunately the third (by way of a cancellation) in the Bishops Room. LOVED the sunrise views from the Bishops Room as well as the fireplace on a cool evening. The steam shower, small refrigerator, coffee maker and beans for grinding make for a comfortable room. The staff, the food and service could not be better. The beautiful and comfortable new Swag additions recently build make it possible to dine outdoors on a patio with heating lamps and a fireplace. Intimate setting for special occasion celebrations. Special events were super- storytelling by Charles, cooking class by Jake and Phyllis were outstanding. The gift apron and recipes are nice touches. We will be booking next years trip very soon!!

AWESOME.....I've been waiting to do this review because it is truly a hidden gem in the woods on a very high mountain. My spouse and I decided to spend a weekend here to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. The reservation process was very easy and professional. The address location was easy to find with the use of a GPS device or Google maps. Upon arrival we was quickly greeted by a professional, friendly and courteous staff. On the day we arrived it was raining and the staff assisted us with umbrellas and with our luggage.nnThis was the most beautiful and comfortable lodging experience I've very experience in my 50 years. This is definitely a 5-star lodging experience, and according the price was very reasonable with all of the accommodations. Our accommodations included three meals a day and the lodging. All the rooms have different luxuries that range from balcony views, king beds, sauna showers, and hot tubs. This is the best location to go for some walking or hiking, enjoying natural's beauty, and for a very relaxing experience.nnAlso all guests are giving a hiking stick with their personal name on it, and upon every visit a memorable badge to attach to your stick. Because the lodge makes a different memorable badge every year and only their guests will earn or get them.nnAll of our meals were made to order depending on whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The breakfast and dinner meals were easily an 5 course meal, and was very plentiful. The lunch usually was a basket or backpack meal that you could enjoy it while you're out enjoying their multiple hiking paths.nnWe went during the COVID-19 pandemic and the facility was taking all the precautions to ensure safety to all the guests and staff. All the staff and customers must wearing face masks. There was social distance between customers and the staff at all times. And this lodging was very clean and well maintained to the highest standard.nnWe will continue to visit this lodge annually and to share this with our friends who wish to enjoy this beautiful lodge.

Wonderful experience! Steak was done perfect. The service is great! And it is absolutely beautiful here. Thanks to the staff! And the kitchen staff!

Absolutely incredible property! Perfect service and delicious food. Easy to see why it's rated so high. So glad we decided to make this our 2020 vacation spot!
