My family and I spent five nights at Emerald Gate Farm and John was fantastic. He showed us around the property when we first arrived and was always attentive to make sure we had anything we needed. He has a very laid back personality and was great with the kids, showing them how to fish with bamboo fishing poles, feed the animals, work in the garden and showed them how to shoot.nnThe property is amazing. Three ponds connected by several mountain streams and the sound of the small waterfalls makes for an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. Most of the trees were bare given the time of year, but it was still gorgeous and I'm sure it's even better during spring and summer.nnThe cabin is very comfortable and well furnished. We and our six children had plenty of room without using the basement. The kitchen is very spacious with newer appliances (the stove looks rustic, but it's actually a very nice gas stove), coffee machine (standard and Keurig) and microwave. The wrap around deck is big and provides plenty of covered space for kids to play when it's raining.nnI cannot recommend Emerald Gate Farm strongly enough. It is an enchanting hideaway at a great rate for the peace and tranquility it provides.
