Holiday Inn Express & Suites Havelock NW-New Bern

I haven't actually stayed there yet so if my opinion changes I will update this post. But I have to say how much I appreciate the staff at this hotel and particularly Denise. We are planning a trip to Cape Lookout and needed a place to stay for just one night so that we could be at the ferry early in the morning. When I spoke to Denise and told her that we were going to be checking out to catch our ferry before they start that awesome breakfast service they provide. She said not to worry about that and she would have us breakfast bags to go full of all kinds of morning goodies. They way she treated me and how she went the extra mile made me feel very welcomed and even though we're only staying the one night, I'm really looking forward to staying there. And if everything turns out to be as great as the service has been so far, well, I'll be booking here from now on when we make our yearly trek to CaLo. Thanks again Holiday Inn Express for having someone like Denise ready to go the extra mile for her guests, or as she puts it, her family. Hopefully no update negative update will be needed but I will update how good or bad our stay was there. I would be surprised if it wasn't a great stay.

Stayed here with my gf that came in to visit for a couple days. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms are very nice and comes with shampoo and body wash already in there in case you forgot yours. Breakfast is only served by staff member which I rather it be self serve. The beds are comfortable and rooms are a pretty big vs other hotels. They also allow pets to stay in the room. It can be a bit pricey. Overall its a great place to stay for a couple days.

Hotel staff was courteous, helpful and professional! Lobby, rooms and hallways very clean and attractive. I wish I knew what the air fresher is that is used in the lobby!! Bathroom showers are worn but still clean, beds comfortable!!! Breakfast staff was great! We will definitely be staying here the next time we are in town.nThank you!

Hotel is beautiful and clean... Very Comfy... Denise (night auditor) is absolutely amazing... she got me signed up for IHG Club (which saved me an extra $50 on my reservations that I originally booked through booking.com for our return trip in 2 weeks) even showed me the room i booked for our next stay which is amazing... she was so helpful with all our needs/questions/concerns and was very catering to our needs... I can wait for our next trip!!!!

So after driving until 3 am we decided to stop and stay here. (Everywhere else was booked due to reduced capacity during covid-19). They tried five times to get our room key to work. After trying to check us into someone else's room twice and the older more experienced lady talked more than she did help the new lady working there. In the end they used a master key to get us into the room at almost 4:30 just so we could sleep. And then the air-conditioning couldn't get the room below 75 degrees ud83dude44.
