Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hickory

Room was so clean and newly remodeled! Bed was comfy, air conditioning worked well. We slept great. Biggest two complaints is that the walls were paper thin. We were on the first floor and could hear full conversations people were having outside near the lobby. Also, our shower water NEVER got hot!!!! But the shower was huge. It was a giant tub with jets. Just never got hot ha.

The room was fine. It was clean and suited our purposes. There were little things like the hot water went a little cool briefly, no bar to hang a hand towel, the bath door slid along a rod, the toilet paper was not on a roll. The pool (in early spring) was drained and a little disgusting looking. But it was quiet, and we got it a good rate. Staff was friendly. Hallways and interior was clean. Because of Covid, basically no breakfast.

Donna was amazing. She made my day by checking me in through my reservation. There was no wait. She also when extra step and got me fresh towels.

This is the worst ever experience I had, I have read the reviews and it looked a good hotel from all the reviews. But man I was surprised when we walked in. 2 armed security guards at the front. Check in was good, Gorden I belive his name at the front was nice. We walked to the room and man bad smell, dogs barking room not cleaned at all. Sheets looks like 30 years old. We had to check out. If you worry about covid. Do not stay here because I am sure they have it. The place looked like a dump.they they really need a health inspection soon, it is unsafe to stay in it. Oh and they had an overdose person the day we checked in, drugs is factor in this place.do not wast your time or money.

I really enjoyed the staff. They were kind, friendly, and willing to help in any way they could. I had a smoking room, which could stand to be updated a bit, but overall 8 out of 10 would visit again.
